Many friends of mine don't like living with other people or people they don't know. I don't mind as long as they are good individuals. I've always lived with someone else when I am out of town. This time I found a room in a house of a big family. The household includes a couple, their 3 kids aged 15, 17, and 21, as well as 2 lodgers... Oh yeah, and I forgot the dog!
At first, I hesitated because that really sounded like a zoo to me! I was scared of not having my own space and was afraid of having to fight over the bathroom, but I was so desperate with the whole apartment hunting situation that I just went for it.
When I arrived, I was welcomed by the family with opened arms. As soon as I stepped into the house, I mouth dropped! The house looks tiny, but it is actually humongous! On the first floor, there are the living room, the kitchen, a separate toilet, and a bedroom. On the second floor, there are 3 bedrooms, the office, shower room, and separate toilet. The last floor, which is my floor, 4 bedrooms and a toilet are on that one. It's CRAZY BIG from what it looks from the outside!
My bedroom is not big, but it has all of what I need... bed, drawers, shelf, AND a sink! It might sound ridiculous to you, but having a sink in the bedroom is amazing! I am not bothering anyone in the morning, I don't have to worry of people waiting to brush their teeth, AND I know my own sink is clean (Those who know me well know that I am a clean freak... hehehe)
I know, I know... You're probably all saying that 435GBP (715$) is too much for this little place, but rents are really expensive in the UK. BUT I am lucky because this one also includes food in it! I also have to mention that the landlady and landlord cook for me EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! They are really nice and sweet! I am so NOOOT complaining! WOOT WOOT! :D
** I am so spoiled hahahah...
Oh well, that's it for tonight. Come back soon! XOX
